The Triton AI Smart Camera, featuring Sony’s advanced IMX501 vision sensor, combines high-resolution imaging with on-sensor AI processing. It captures detailed 12.3 MP images while simultaneously performing AI inference, reducing latency and bandwidth needs. This powerful edge device enables faster, smarter decision-making for applications like defect detection, object classification, and real-time quality inspection.
The IMX501 sensor comes with on-sensor AI processing, enabled by its integrated ISP (Image Signal Processor), DSP (Digital Signal Processor), and on-chip SRAM
The camera features two ISPs (Image Signal Processing): one located on-sensor for the AI engine and the other on the camera’s FPGA for regular image processing.
The Brain Builder guides users through labeling, training, and model production for the IMX501, automatically selecting the best model architecture.
The M12 connector for Ethernet and M8 connector for GPIO provides a robust and sturdy connection upto 100 meters and are resistant to shock and vibration.
The IP67 offers protection from Dust, Dirt and Water ensuring long-term camera durability in harsh industry conditions. Lucid also offers IP67 Lens Tube.

Brain Builder – Basic Edition (6 Months)
Brain Builder – Basic Edition is an easy-to-use AI training tool that allows users to create, train, and deploy custom AI models directly to the Triton Smart camera with minimal coding expertise. Supporting two model types, classifiers and object detectors, it enables the development of accurate models with as few as 50 images per class, reducing both time and data requirements. The platform automatically optimizes model architecture based on user preferences and integrates seamlessly with the Triton Smart camera for on-device AI processing.
This 6-month license supports up to 10 datasets and is available with a trial option. Each license is tied to one computer but can be used to upload models to any number of Triton Smart cameras. Once purchased, a Hwyl Representative will email your valid license code. Brain Builder can be downloaded from Brain Builder for AITRIOS website, along with the required CodeMeter Runtime. Users can delete older datasets to make room for new ones. While Hwyl offers licenses only for the Basic Edition, other editions, Standard and Pro are available for exploration on the Brain Builder for AITRIOS page.
