Built around the Gpixel GMAX4002 sensor, these NIR cameras deliver enhanced sensitivity in the near-infrared spectrum for reliable imaging beyond visible light. They are well suited for applications where material contrast, feature detection, and low-light performance are critical. Ideal for industrial inspection, machine vision, and research environments demanding consistent NIR performance.
Featuring Gpixel GMAX4002 CMOS sensor with enhanced NIR sensitivity at 32.5% QoE at 850nm and 12.21% QoE at 940nm.
The NIR sensor is available in 2 models. Phoenix Board camera with 28 x 28 x 28.4 mm and 39gm, and IP67 Triton2 model, 44 x 29 x 45.3 mm at 90gm.
Triton2 offers a higher frame rate of 107.2 FPS @ 2.4 MP, 2048 x 1200 px in Global shutter sensor making it ideal for high speed industry applications.
The M12 connector for Ethernet and M8 connector for GPIO provides a robust and sturdy connection upto 100 meters and are resistant to shock and vibration.
The IP67 offers protection from Dust, Dirt and Water ensuring long-term camera durability in harsh industry conditions. Lucid also offers IP67 Lens Tube.
GigE Vision compliant for maximum 3rd party software compatibility. The Power Over Ethernet (PoE) port simplifies power and data over one cable.
NIR cameras are used across a wide range of applications where imaging beyond the visible spectrum is essential. In night and low-light imaging, they deliver improved visibility and detail when ambient lighting is limited, making them well suited for surveillance and monitoring. In aerial and ground-based EO-IR systems, NIR cameras enable advanced imaging for drones, UAVs, and other defence and surveillance platforms, supporting target detection, terrain analysis, vegetation assessment, and camouflage differentiation in challenging environments.
They also play a key role in material and plastic sorting by enabling accurate identification based on spectral characteristics, improving efficiency in automated recycling and industrial sorting systems. In the food and beverage industry, NIR cameras help detect defects such as contamination, moisture variation, and internal inconsistencies that are not visible with standard cameras. Additionally, they are used in medical imaging and research and development for non-invasive visualization, material analysis, and advanced imaging studies requiring consistent near-infrared performance.
